What is a Trust Protector?

A trust protector is just what it sounds like. It is a person that is appointed by the Settlor or Grantor to look over the Trustee and make sure things are being done according to the Grantor’s wishes.

The trust protector doesn’t have the same powers as the trustee, this person’s role is to make sure a trustee has not misbehaved and is administering the trust according to the Grantor’s or Settlor’s terms.
