One Way to Stop Your Kids From Fighting Over Your Will

The simplest way to hopefully stop your kids from fighting over your will when your gone is a no- contest clause, which could read something like this:

If any beneficiary shall in any manner, directly or indirectly, attempt to contest or oppose the validity of this Will, including any amendments thereto, or commences or prosecutes any legal proceedings to set this Will aside, then in such event such beneficiary shall forfeit his or her share, cease to have any right or interest in the Estate or Trust Property, and shall be deemed to have predeceased without surviving issue.

This type of clause will not guarantee that you kids will not fight, but it may give them something to think about, before challenging or contesting a provision of your last will and testament because it not only writes them out of the last will and testament but also their children or issue.
